I am a freelance dance artist based in Hanover and being around Kassel and Barcelona. I am interested in collaborating with different communities and individuals, using dance to move, explore, create and perform together. Following the principle of "Rehearse the social world we want to be part of “.
In my work I often deal with individual and collective body experiences and explore the political dimension of the micro movements influencing us. Through embodiment, body as archive, body memories, non-human co-existing, fantasies, voice, physical experiences and touch.
I am holding a BA in special education and art (Leibniz Universität Hannover) and a state-approved professional degree as a contemporary stage dancer (Sozo vim in Kassel). I collaborated with Janina Rohlik, Ahlam Dirani, Franziska Ullrich, Taiat Dansa, Annamarie Keskinen and Regina van Berkel among others.
I am part of the performance collective RAWsberries in Barcelona which is working on the topic of touch, embedded in one's social position. And the Tanz ohne Boden Kollektive in Hannover, creating participatory performance projects.
My last work includes “They stayed restless”, “Niemals genug Hände, um uns zu entknoten” and “Becoming Ida – a different type of caring”. Which can be performed by request.
Recently I am working on the question on how we can get access to the abandoned places within us, through memory work. Inspired by people abandoned places, animals, plants, mushrooms and friends. Trying to stroll/lustwalk. I love the idea of a post-antroprocentric world, mind and encounter.
Besides that I am teaching contemporary dance and giving workshops. Like "radical softness" and “improvising in a complex body” and cooperated with dance studios in Kassel, Hannover (Germany), Barcelona (Catalonia) and Beirut (Lebanon).
